Keeping with the theme posts, this is another of my favorite zucchini recipes. Hitting summer vacation (aka beach season), I decided to make a legitimate attempt at eating something that wasn’t fried or covered in ranch. The result was pretty delicious– Zucchini Fritters.

5 Minute Flour Tortillas
There isn’t much that is better than taco night at home…. unless you also make your own tortillas! I discovered how ridiculously easy these are to make when I had a midnight taco craving and lacked the get-up-and-go to make a TB run (and that means a lot… I do love a cheesy gordita crunch!)….
Happy 4th, Y’all!
Hope everyone has a great day with friends and family! Here is our roundup of cookout favorites that have recently posted. July 4th Cookout Series Round-Up from Southern FATTY
Little Smokies Sliders
Nothing says Independence Day celebration like a good ol’ BBQ. Sparklers, drinks, food, good friends. With that said, nothing says BBQ with friends in the South more than Lit’l Smokies®. These tiny dogs are a match made in fireworks heaven when simmered in BBQ sauce. For the start to our 4th hurrah, we toss some BBQ-glazed…
Garlic Sautéed Skillet Zucchini
SO… I realize I’ve been on a major sugar kick recently. I’ve had a few people ask me…”Do you post regular food on your blog, too?”. I’ll do my best to ignore that fact that sugar and butter are as naturally enjoyable as can be, and give it a go. You can cook healthy food…
{Crispy} Sweet Potato Fries
There isn’t anything that I despise more than a floppy, bland french fry. Well… maybe not having any french fries. But, anyway… Anyone that knows me knows that I am a french fry addict. I’m talkin’ round up all the family and friends, drag me into a surprise intervention and then ship me off to a…
Grilled Herb Butter Corn
STOP. It’s grillin’ time! There really isn’t anything better than going to your local Farmer’s Market and stocking up on fresh veggies for the week. I am lucky enough to have the Farmer’s Market here in Nashville show up right on campus every Thursday during peak season. I walk out at the end up the…
Simple, Quick Pizza Dough
Homemade pizza is a go-to dinner at my place, making an appearance about once every week or so. I always have some sort of tomato-based sauce sitting around beside some leftover vegetables and cheese. The glorious thing about pizza is that you can throw just about anything you want on it and it will…
Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes
Continuing with our movie food theme, I decided to make one of my favorite side items– fried green tomatoes. Mashed potatoes, maybe a steak or BBQ chicken and crispy fried tomatoes. The perfect country meal! This time, I decided to make it the feature item instead of the lonely bench player that nobody ever…
White Chili (in our bread bowls!)
Ohhhh the weather outside is frightful. Atlanta traffic was delightful! What is better to cuddle up inside with than chili? White chili, that’s what! Southerners love their butter and cream. Right, Paula? (and BREAD BOWLS!)
