  • 1⅓ cup flour
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup apple butter
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Combine top 5 ingredients in food processor.
  3. Pulse 4-5 times until nuts are fully incorporated into flour.
  4. In mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add dry mix to the creamed butter. Mix well.
  6. Add egg, vanilla and mix until fully combined.
  7. On prepared baking sheet, add spoonfuls of dough.
  8. Using a slightly wet thumb, press into the center of each cookie.
  9. Fill well with apple butter.
  10. Bake until golden, about 20 minutes.
  11. Remove to cool and enjoy.
