Super-simple slow cooker / Crockpot recipe for perfectly tender Apple Bourbon Steak Fajitas using less than 5 ingredients!
Serves: 8 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 to ½ lb flank steak
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • ½ cup water, to deglaze pan
  • 1 packet of Campbell's Slow Cooker Apple Bourbon Sauce
  • red & green peppers, additional apple slices, cheese, etc. to finish, by taste
Instructions
  1. Pull out the slow cooker and have it ready.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat. I prefer cast iron for a better sear.
  3. Brush the flank steak on both sides with some oil. Salt and pepper well.
  4. Cook steak on both sides until well-seared.
  5. Remove steak and place in slow cooker.
  6. Throw onion and apple slices into skillet (still on high heat) and stir often to prevent burning.
  7. Cook for a couple minutes until you have some nice caramelization on the mix.
  8. Add ½ cup water to pan and use wooden spoon to scrape pan bits. (deglazing)
  9. Pour into slow cooker on top of steak.
  10. Add entire packet of Campbell's Slow Cooker sauce to slow cooker.
  11. Close cooker with lid and turn on low setting.
  12. Cook for 7-8 hours.
  13. Toss steak in sauce but stirring lightly.
  14. Prepare any additional items for your fajitas by personal preference.
  15. I prefer to make several add-ons for a party, such as guacamole, salsa, cheese, sour cream and allow guests to prepare their own.
  16. Combine on a tortilla and enjoy!
